Summary: And now for a werewolf tale that takes us to the calming fields of the European countryside. All is well in where nature is left to do its thing. But what stalks these otherwise peaceful areas will turn any would-be vacation into a nightmare.
History: Somewhere in the countryside of the Glasgow area in Scotland, a ravenous beast makes an abandoned castle its home. In truth, it is a large werewolf, and it has a family. But recently, a bunch of tourists have shown up, and are either unwelcome guests or very welcome dinner. No in-between here. It's going to be a hunt.
Notable Kills: One guy gets his jaw ripped off rather messily.
Final Fate: The female werewolf is crushed by a large rock and impaled by spears. In a blind rage, the other werewolf pursues the others. But by the time he gets to a woman holding a baby, it is revealed that the baby she and the others have been shepherding the whole time was a littler werewolf, and she has been converted after trying to breastfeed it. Needless to say, the werewolf has found a new mate, and the two are currently enjoying time together as a family.
Powers/Abilities: One bite converts others.
Weakness: Anything conventional.
Scariness Factor: 3.5-We rarely see this beast, but when we do, we know exactly why they hired the brains behind the effects for the Dog Soldiers. Looking like a savage combination of bear and wolf, this monster behaves less like a man-turned homicidal and more like a bonafide predator of nature. Also, the curse is apparently permanent this time. Yikes.
Trivia: -The inspiration for the werewolves' looks came from both "The Howling" and "An American Werewolf in London". We can see it rather clearly, minus the first one. But that might have something to do with it being represented by well-done practical effects.
-The castle that the werewolf inhabits is actually real, but does not harbor any monsters in it. Also, only the exterior was shown, as the interior was in a state of decaying ruin that made it unsafe to film in.
